About The Go Green Team
The Go Green Team (GGT) is a group of enthusiastic youth that represent ABCRC at local events and festivals. This dynamic and enthusiastic team helps to promote beverage container recycling at a variety of community events and locations around Alberta.
Every summer the Go Green Team complete with their promotional tent, vehicle, ABCRC mascot “MT” and recycling bins can be found at rodeos, parades, concerts, sports tournaments, festivals and various other events. There are two Go Green Teams that service the province: Northern Alberta, based in Edmonton and Southern Alberta, based in Calgary.
In 2012 alone, the Go Green Team attended 212 community events across the province and placed over 2,575 recycling bins, diverting thousands of containers from landfills.
