Bi-metal cans combine the strength of steel with other metals, typically a tin coating. These durable containers are fully recyclable and valuable in the circular economy.
What are bi-metal containers?
Bi-metal cans are primarily made of steel with a thin coating of tin or other metals that protect the contents and prevent rusting.
The distinctive ridges — also known as “beads”— are engineered to help distribute pressure evenly around the can, preventing it from buckling and denting.

- Sent to recyclers for processing (shredding and magnetic separation).
